We, the participants of Interactive Workshop of Europe, would like to thank you for your participation at our conference. We enjoyed very much getting to know all of you and widening our view on participation and decision making processes and hope that you could take some deeper insights with you as well.

The conference took place and was supported by the COLLEGIUM HUNGARICUM BERLIN  and the coworking space WOSTEL.

               

The conference was about our experiences, our wishes, our visions and our search for improving decision making processes in internal and external organization. Around 30 practitioners from at least six different countries came to Berlin on the 2nd of april to discuss together the topics of participation and decision making processes.

The practical backgrounds of the participans were diverse: Some professional trainers and facilitators were there, who deal with the improvement of internal organizational structures. At the same time, also members of grassroot organisations and self-organized initiatives were taking part, who "live" participation every second of their professional life and who look for improving the decision making processes therein. Thematical backgrounds ranged from interests in political fields, development-aid und european dimensions, urban and community communication processes, participation in youth work and in university-life. And of course, also the dimension of what does participation mean as a way of thinking, as a paradigm for acting and as an ideal that shapes our individual beings were always inherent when exchanging our experiences at the confernce.
During the conference there we spent time to get to know each other individually and to exchange about our projects, tasks and visions - at the same time we also worked together on some poposed topics and issues that came up during the conference from the participants
