___ First face to face meeting in february 2010 to work on the project's design

What did we do?

The schedule of the meeting was meant to be very open – since it should follow the idea of the “Open Space” technology facilitated by Lena Hummel and Giulia Molinengo.

Saturday constituted the most important day of the meeting regarding the thematically work of the group.

The Open Space on"16 people one day - where do we want to go?" lasted for the whole day and discussions and evaluations went on until the late evening and the following day.

What will be the next steps?

During the action planning on Sunday, the group agreed on having 4 more face to face meetings during the year 2010 in order to cover the following aspects:

* analyses and getting to know of existing projects and methods (open space and different participation methods)         * experience and training of ourselves in the open space method (with the help of professional trainers)                          * sharing of our knowledge and experiences concerning the application of different methods                                                * application of the method(s) by ourselves within a real and concrete project

Where did we stay?

The meeting took place in the castle of Hohensolms, Hessen. Several rooms of the castle are owned by the  association “Tor-Weg-Wohnung e.V., Gutshof für Spiel und Theater, Hohensolms” which offers accommodation
for theater groups and various other activities for very low rent.

The location offers a unique atmosphere to get to know the group and to cook & heat as well as explore & use the place together. We used local organic grocery stores to buy our food and cooked it together in the kitchen of the apartment.
