> ... to provide a one year training course on Open Space Technology and further participatory methods,
> ... to create awareness on a European level about the main issues concerning urban contexts today,
> ... to establish a network of young Europeans and to strengthen their professionalisation in the field of participatory
       methods.

Project Design

17 young Europeans from GER / FR / IT participate in a one year training programme (2010/2011)  that consits of 5 meetings, which took place in Berlin, Turin and Lille. In a first phase, participants worked on their proper training design and got in touch with local organisations working on urban development topics by using Open Space Technology and other participatory methods. The role of the participants is intended to progressively shift from being external observers, to participants of an Open Space meeting and thus get trained, to finally becoming facilitators themselves. Therefore during the last meeting the team organizes a conference about "participation methods & decision-making processes" to share and exchange questions, learnings & thoughts with other practitioners interested in the topic.
